“Nobody’s Home”; the short story was declared as one of the “Best 10 SF & Fantasy Stories” at the Meeting of International SF and Fantasy Authors, Bijsk, Russia, 1990 (# 7).

“Living for the Last Time”; the novel was listed in the “Best 10 SF & Fantasy Novels”; former USSR; 1992 (# 6).

“Twilight of the World”; the novel was listed in the “Best 10 SF & Fantasy Novels”; former USSR; 1993 (# 4).

“Stepchildren of the Eighth Commandment”; the novel received the “Moon Sword” at the “Stranger” – the 2nd Congress of the SF & Fantasy Writers of Russia, 1997.

H. L. Oldie took 6th place at the “Hit-Parade of SF & Fantasy Writers of former USSR”; “Book Review” # 51, Moscow, Russia, 1997.

H. L. Oldie received a Black Belt of the 1st degree as a master of “Fan-Do” for fragments of fights described in their novel “Messiah Clears the Disc” at the “Star Bridge SF & Fantasy Festival”, Kharkov, Ukraine, 1999.

“Odysseus, Son of Laertes” (vol. 1: “The Man of Nomos”); the novel received the “Bronze RosCon” award at the “RosCon Convention”, Moscow, Russia, 2001.

  1. L. Oldie received the “Gold Phoenix” award for the development of good literary taste in readers at the third festival “Book World-2001”.
  2. L. Oldie received the “PiramyDon” award from the SF & Fantasy fan-club of Rostov at the “DonCon SF & Fantasy Festival”, Rostov, Russia, 2001.

Dmitry Gromov and Oleg Ladyzhensky received from the City Council of Kharkov the award “For the best representation of Kharkov-city in the fantasy literature” and “Certificate of Honor” from Kharkov City Council; the “Star Bridge SF & Fantasy Festival”, Kharkov, Ukraine, 2003.

The novelette “Vengeance is Mine, I will Repay” from the cycle of “Songs of Peter Sliadek” received the “Portal” award at the “2nd International SF & Fantasy Assembly of Portal”; Kiev, Ukraine, 2005.

“Songs of Peter Sliadek” – the cycle of 12 novelettes received the “Sigma-F” Grand Prize at “Sigma-F Conference”, Moscow, Russia, 2005.

“Pentacle” – the novel-cycle by H. L. Oldie, A. Valentinov and M. & S. Dyachenko received the First Prize as the “Best novel-cycle” at the “Star Bridge SF & Fantasy Festival”, Kharkov, Ukraine, 2005.

“Oikumene” – the novel received the title of “Best Russian Science Fiction Novel of 2007” by the “Fantastic World” magazine, Moscow, Russia; the main character of this novel was named as the “Best Fantastic Hero of the Year”.

26 of August, 2017 Henry Lion Oldie got a literary award “Filigree” (Moscow, Russia) for the science fantasy novel in two volumes “The Poweful Ones”, by the voting of professional judges of literary critics. This is an award “for literary perfection”.

In January, 2018, a novel by Henry Lion Oldie “Mirror Mirror on the Wall” (mystical thriller / horror / urban fantasy) got the title of “The Best SF & Fantasy Book written in Russian of 2017” by the “Fantastic World” magazine (Moscow, Russia).

On Fantastic Assambley in St. Petersburg (Russia) in August, 2018 Henry Lion Oldie received a literary award “For Enlightenment”.

In May, 2021, space opera novel of 3 volumes “Prodigal Son” by Henry Lion Oldie received “Interpresscon” award on the same-named SF & Fantasy Convention in St. Petersburg (Russia) — as the best SF & Fantasy novel of 2019 published in Russian.

In June, 2021 a novel of 2 volumes by Henry Lion Oldie “Carp & Dragon” got the title of “The Best Russian SF & Fantasy Book of the Year (2020)” by the readers’ voting on “FantLab” – the biggest and most influential Russian SF & Fantasy website: https://www.fantlab.ru/.

In 1991 Dmitry Gromov and Oleg Ladyzhensky founded a creative studio “The Second Pancake”. From 1991 to 2013 in co-operation with publishers from Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Canada, France and Poland “The Second Pancake” had published more than 600 fantasy and science fiction books by different authors.
